WHO DOES YOUR LAWYER KNOW?

I wake up in the morning
Take time to say a prayer
And find it in me to show up for my job
They give you most of my paycheck
I fight to see my kids
And now I try to just lay it all before God
I don't like to think about how your mind works
I try to open up to you & I always end up getting hurt
And I'm tired of it

The question used to be will our passion melt the Sun, now it's
Who does your lawyer know?
Who does your lawyer know?

You started complainin
I started to ignore you
There was nothing I could do that was good enough
It seemed to be about money
Real estate and draperies
You never closed your notes to me with "Love"
I guess I was blinded by the light of your eyes
I thought that we were soulmates, but maybe that's just how the mind
Will fool itself

The question used to be will our passion melt the Sun, now it's
Who does your lawyer know?
Who does your lawyer know?

There is a tropical breeze
A pretty cottage by the sea...

The question used to be will our passion melt the Sun, now it's
Who does your lawyer know?
Who does your lawyer know?
